engaging & relevant counseling for young people navigating the modern human experience.

This is the place to get relevant and meaningful support

for Teenagers and Emerging adults in the process of growing up;

a process of becoming themselves and living into their lives

in all the terrain that being a young human, in modern times, can hold.

I’m Danielle, and I’m here to help clients navigate the course and conditions of their life; developing and strengthening their ability to access their inner compass and captain their own ship as we go.

I’m a licensed counselor, credentialed and trained specifically to work with young people.

Over the last 15 years I’ve built this therapy practice around supporting these specific developmental periods, amid these specific times.

I come with a background in sociology; the merging of these allows me to see the counseling process with an intersectional lens.

This translates to you working with counselor with years of trained and honed professional experience, who truly gets both the larger and personal-individual levels of what it means to be a young person in the world today; resulting in a very comprehensive way of looking at what is going on in a persons life and asking curiously, what would be most helpful to do next?

I really care about this work and I really care about my clients—once you know me, this is distinctly obvious: I am chalant.

In my practice, it is always part of the work to get to know the details and different aspects of my clients’ lives—not just what brings them to therapy. I want us to both know what interests and amuses them, what they listen to and watch and consume, what occupies their time, what they care about and are curious about, and what makes them feel most like themselves.

Genuinely being interested in the actual life and experience of a person creates points of connection and association, links us to the architecture, scaffolding and gifts already present in their lives, and helps us understand more accurately what’s getting in the way of feeling like themselves more often.

Welcoming the all the facets of a person creates more places to look, more ways to be seen and heard, more possibilities to discover and experiment with; more choices to build a way forward that feels genuinely their own.

I’m very glad to do what I do, and I see it as a true privilege to talk with people about their inner and outer worlds, and to help them find more ease in being and becoming themselves.
