I’m Danielle, and I’m here to help clients navigate the reality of the course and conditions of their life; developing and strengthening their ability to access their inner compass and captain their own ship as we go.

I’m a licensed professional counselor, credentialed and trained specifically to work with young people, I also come with a background & degree in Sociology. The merging of these related ways of looking, knowing and thinking, allows me to see the counseling process with an informed and intersectional lens that adds richness, realness, and relateability.

Over the last 15 years I’ve built a therapy practice around this integrative approach and focus on supporting these specific developmental periods, amid these specific times.

This all translates to you working with a counselor with years of trained, honed and specialized professional experience. I’m someone who truly gets both the larger-macro and personal-individual levels of what it means to be a young person in the world today; resulting in a very comprehensive way of looking at what is going on in a persons life and asking curiously: what would be most helpful to do next?

I really care about this work and I really care about my clients—once you know me, this is distinctly obvious: I am chalant.

I see it as essential to listen about and get to know details and different aspects of clients’ lives—not just what brings them to therapy. I want us to both have working knowledge on what captures their attention, interests and amuses them, what they listen to and watch and consume, what occupies their time, who and what they care about and are curious about, and what makes them feel least and most like themselves.

Genuinely being interested in the actual life and experience of a client creates points of connection and association, links us to the architecture, scaffolding and gifts already present and supportive in their lives, and helps us understand more accurately what’s getting in the way of feeling like themselves more often.

This welcoming of the all the facets of a person creates more places to look, more ways to be seen and heard, more possibilities to discover and experiment with; more choices to build a way forward that feels genuinely their own.
